Lucasys Named to the Inc. 5000 for the Third Time — What That Growth Means for Utilities and Energy Tax Teams

Lucasys made the Inc. 5000 list for 2026, coming in at No. 46. This places Lucasys among the fastest-growing private software companies in America. Ranked No. 472 overall, and No. 21 across the Atlanta metro area, this is the third time Lucasys has made the list, following prior honors in 2023 and 2025.

This award reflects growth and shows the health of the organization behind the software. It also indicates whether the organization can keep investing in it. That's worth a closer look if you're a tax or IT leader evaluating whether to trust a vendor with your legacy system replacement.

What the Inc. 5000 Measures

The Inc. 5000 isn't a popularity contest or an editorial feature businesses pay for. Companies are ranked based on revenue growth from 2022 to 2025. Only U.S.-based, privately held, independent companies can qualify.

For context, the median growth rate over three years for this year's list was 130%. Honorees also added over 627,000 jobs to the U.S. economy during that time. Past honorees on the broader list include Microsoft, Meta, and Oracle.

The Inc. 5000 ranking is all about one thing: customers. They choose a company, stick with it, and keep buying more over time, at scale.

Growth That's Backed by Adoption

For Lucasys, growth translates to to adoption among the organizations it was built for. The company’s software is used by over thirty top energy and utility firms in North America. Customers rely on Lucasys for important tax processes, including depreciation, deferred tax, provisions, and tax-basis balance sheet work.

The product has kept pace, too. Just days before this year's Inc. 5000 announcement, the newest addition to the Lucasys Tax Suite, Lucasys Tax Repairs, went live on the SAP® Store. Customers can now classify repair and capital spending right in their ERP system. This means they no longer have to switch systems.

"The Lucasys team is proud to be recognized once again as one of America's fastest-growing companies," said Vadim Lantukh, Co-Founder and CEO of Lucasys. "Ranking among the top 50 software companies in the country is a testament to the success of our customers and to the best-in-class software our team delivers, now adopted by more than thirty leading energy and utility companies across North America. We look forward to bringing accurate, intuitive, and cost-effective solutions to more of North America's top enterprises."

Why Vendor Growth Matters to Our Customers

If you're considering moving from a legacy tax system, growth metrics like the Inc. 5000 ranking show how healthy the business is now and in the future. Choosing a tax software vendor is a long-term commitment, and a vendor's trajectory is one of the clearest ways to gauge whether they can grow with you.

Sustained growth funds continued development. The software has been tested with real customer needs. This shows the platform meets the specific demands of regulated, asset-heavy industries, not just a generic finance tool. And repeated recognition in 2023, 2025 and now 2026 points to a team that's executing consistently rather than having one good year.
